Open and Closed Cell

It is first worth noting there are two types of spray foam Opencell & Closed Cell. This refers to the compound and finish of each system. Opencell is widley considered the better of the two because it’s supposedly vapour permeable whereas Closed Cell sets hard or ridged. This can cut off airflow to timbers and trap moisture but in the main both have been deemed as not fit for purpose by Chartered Surveyors.
